Attorneys Charles Giesen and Jessica Giesen recently won the 2018 “Best Brief” award from the Wisconsin State Bar’s Appellate Practice Section for a defense brief filed in the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.

The award recognizes exceptional appellate writing, promotes appellate advocacy, and identifies briefs that can be used as models for new and improving appellate lawyers. Of note, this case was the only criminal defense win during the relevant Supreme Court session on substantive constitutional grounds.
